At the end of April, the children's book "Wie Papa wieder lachen lernt. Das Mutmachbuch für Soldatenfamilien, wenn ein Elternteil seelisch erkrankt" (How Dad Learns to Laugh Again. The book of encouragement for military families when one parent is mentally ill) was handed over to the Medical Service and the Social Service of the German Armed Forces.

Symbolically, it was handed over to Surgeon General Dr. med. Ulrich Baumgärtner (Inspector of the Medical Service) and Dr. jur. Eric Danners (Head of Department at the Federal Office of Personnel Management of the German Armed Forces). The members of the Defense Committee, Kerstin Vieregge, and Johannes Arlt, also received a copy and also assumed patronage of the MUTMACHER project at this event.

The book, published by Herder Verlag, is part of a series of children's books for military families published by the ZFG. It was developed and realized by Dr. Peter Wendl, Alexandra Hoff-Ressel and Peggy-Puhl-Regler together with the illustrator Ilonka Baberg. The authors received expert advice from Colonel Peter Zimmermann from the German Armed Forces Psychotrauma Center in Berlin.
