The Chair represents the subject of Modern German Literature from early modern literature to the present day. Research focuses on 20th and 21st century literature and environmental humanities.

The secretary's office of the Chair of Modern German Literature is located in the Main Library building (Universitätsallee 1) in room 219.
Sieglinde Schneider is available in the office from Tuesday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and during the semester break on Tuesday and Wednesday.
