NPO Controlling Group

We are particularly interested in calculating social returns on investment for small and large social economy enterprises and for human resources policy programs in companies. We have previously completed studies in these fields for Thyssen-Krupp Steel Europe, Volkswagen AG, and around 80 social economy enterprises. We are currently conducting a study for the European Central Bank. Another focus of our work is empirical research into the effects of ‘hybrid’ service providers that do not operate in a ‘pure market’. We translate these effects into numbers and integrate these into effect-oriented controlling strategies. We conduct projects in this area for professional soccer associations, church bodies, and of course social economy enterprises.

The courses that we offer for students focus on managing social institutions and services, productivity theory of social services, and measuring effectiveness.
