The following degrees and German language certificates qualify you for admission to a German-language degree program at the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt:
Not all of these final degrees/certificates certify a level in accordance with the CEFR.
- Holders of a high school diploma equivalent to a German university entrance qualification = German International Abitur, earned at German schools abroad.
- Assessment Test (Feststellungsprüfung, FSP) with a passing grade in the “German” section, obtained at the Studienkollegs in Munich or Coburg. Assessment tests from other Studienkollegs may be recognized provided they meet the same requirements.
- Holders of foreign certificates listed in Section 3 (4th indent) of the agreement “Admission of foreign applicants with foreign educational credentials to study at German universities: Proof of German language proficiency” (Resolution of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of June 2, 1995, as amended);
- DSH (German Language Test for University Admission of Foreign Applicants), Level 2
- TestDaF certificate, which generally indicates a score of TDN 4 in all sections of the exam; exceptions may be determined by the subject areas (at the KU, e.g., Mathematics and Theology).
- “German Language Diploma of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs—Level II” (DSD II) (Resolution of the KMK dated December 6, 1996, as amended);
- Goethe Certificate C1 and C2: Grand German Language Diploma (GDS);
- “Central Upper Secondary Examination” (ZOP) of the Goethe-Institut, administered in Germany by a Goethe-Institut or abroad by a Goethe-Institut or an institution authorized by the Goethe-Institut to conduct examinations;
- “Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom” or the “Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom,” awarded by the Goethe Institute on behalf of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich
- telc Deutsch C1 University
- Goethe-Zertifikat C2
- ÖSD C2 Certificate
Proof of German Language Proficiency
The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt recognizes the certificates listed as proof of German language proficiency. In some cases, other certified proofs may also be accepted. Only certificates that attest to the passing of a language exam are recognized. Certificates of participation/attendance are not recognized.
