Changing personal data

You can easily view and update your information yourself at studienservice.ku.de.

Please be sure to notify us immediately of any changes to your contact information, as you may otherwise miss important updates.

This includes

• changes to your first and/or last name,
• changes to your citizenship, and
• changes to your contact information (change of address).

Change of First and/or Last Name

Has the spelling of your first name changed, or has your last name changed due to marriage?

To process a name change, we require an official document (e.g., a copy of your marriage certificate, name change certificate, etc.) as proof that the name change has taken place.

Change of Nationality

Do you hold multiple nationalities, have you recently been naturalized, or have you renounced a nationality?

Please also notify us of this change, as we are required by the Higher Education Statistics Act to record this information. To verify this, please upload appropriate documentation (e.g., a naturalization certificate).

Change of contact information (change of address)

To enable us to contact you, we generally require the following contact information from you:

• Mailing address (home and semester address)
• E-mail address
• Phone number
