The Bavarian Virtual University (vhb) is a joint initiative of Bavarian universities. It offers online courses developed by faculty members at the participating universities to supplement on-campus studies. The offerings include online courses as well as shorter online learning modules.

Under OPEN vhb, you will find shorter, open online courses from Bavarian universities that are available free of charge to anyone interested. From the basics of argumentation to an introductory course in Philosophy and Technical English, there is something for a wide variety of interests. You can also enroll in ongoing courses at any time. As a student at our University, you can use the vhb’s tutor-supported online courses free of charge. You can find detailed information at www.vhb.org. The course program at kurse.vhb.org includes detailed descriptions of all courses as well as demo versions. Please check with the relevant Examinations Office in a timely manner regarding coursework that is eligible for accreditation in vhb courses.
