Not just listening to music, but truly understanding it – both theoretically and practically: That’s exactly what makes Applied Musicology and Music Education so special to me. It’s a degree program with a truly unique combination of disciplines.

Bachelor Applied Musicology and Music Education

Organizing concerts, writing arrangements, designing music education projects – this Bachelor's degree program, which is unique in Germany, combines Musicology and Music Education with a consistently application-oriented approach.

Admission & application

this degree program has no admission restriction—you do not need to submit an application. Simply enroll directly on the KU university portal in August or September. If you earned your university entrance qualification abroad, please also submit your preliminary examination documentation by July 15 – also through the same portal.

Campus Eichstätt

Eichstätt combines a Baroque old town with canoe trips on the Altmühl River, open-air movies in the summer, and festivals such as the Altstadtfest and the Lichternacht – here, everyday student life actually feels wonderfully lively.

Accommodation and living

Finding a place to live is part of planning for uni – whether it’s a dorm, a shared apartment, or your own apartment. Anyone coming to Eichstätt or Ingolstadt to attend uni should start looking for housing early.
