For me, studying Geography in Eichstätt means understanding the world from ever-changing perspectives. I find the connection between questions in the natural sciences and the social sciences particularly fascinating – it shows just how closely humans and the environment are intertwined. For me, the field trips are among the best parts of the program. They allow you to directly observe the landscapes and interconnections that we discuss in the seminar. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere and the close staff-to-student ratio, you feel excellent care is provided.

Bachelor Geography

Climate change, migration, the energy transition —Geography is the discipline that integrates nature and society. The Bachelor's degree program provides a foundation in physical geography and human geography, with field trips and hands-on projects from the very beginning.

Admission & application

This degree program has no admission restriction — you do not need to submit an application. Simply enroll directly through the KU university portal in August or September. If you earned your university entrance qualification abroad, please also submit your preliminary examination documentation by July 15—also through the same portal.

Campus Eichstätt

Eichstätt combines a Baroque old town with canoe trips on the Altmühl River, open-air movies in the summer, and festivals such as the Altstadtfest and the Lichternacht—here, everyday student life meets a genuine zest for life.

Accommodation and living

Finding a place to live is part of planning for uni – whether it’s a dorm, a shared apartment, or your own apartment. Anyone coming to Eichstätt or Ingolstadt to attend uni should start looking for housing early.
