History is more than just the past, and French is more than just grammar—both open up new perspectives on people, cultures, and society. In addition to my history for teaching degree programs, I’m pursuing an interdisciplinary Master’s degree in history, thereby adding another final degree to my academic profile. At the KU, I particularly appreciate the depth of academic content and the personal exchange in small seminar groups.

What excites me about archaeology at the KU is the combination of theory and practice – for example, through archaeological drawing or educational excavations. The thematic overlaps with Ancient History and Art History, as well as small classes that foster close exchange, create an ideal learning environment.

Master History

History you can touch: In the interdisciplinary Master’s program, you’ll hold centuries-old manuscripts in your hands, choose your own areas of focus—from antiquity to the present—and explore exciting ways to bring history to life today.

Admission & application

To enroll in this degree program, you must submit an application directly through the KU university portal. The application deadline is September 1. If you earned your university entrance qualification abroad, please also submit your preliminary review documentation by July 15—also through the same portal.

Campus Eichstätt

Eichstätt combines a Baroque old town with canoe trips on the Altmühl River, open-air movies in the summer, and festivals such as the Altstadtfest and the Lichternacht—here, everyday student life meets a genuine zest for life.

Accommodation and living

Finding a place to live is part of planning for uni – whether it’s a dorm, a shared apartment, or your own apartment. Anyone coming to Eichstätt or Ingolstadt to attend uni should start looking for housing early.
