Family is very important to Joel. He grew up with five siblings and has a close relationship with his parents—cohesion is a top priority in his family, and everyone supports each other wherever they can. Joel is grateful for this and wants to be able to give something back, including financially. That's why he wants stability for his future and that of his family. By studying Business Administration at the KU, he is now laying the foundation for this: after graduation, a wide range of job opportunities await him; for example, he can work in marketing, human resources, economics, or finance.
Joel knows what it means to work and earn his own money: at the age of 14, he delivered newspapers. When he was 16, he had various mini-jobs alongside school, including at a fast food chain and a bakery. These experiences have had a lasting impact on him, especially in terms of his consumer behavior. His goal is to achieve a stable professional position after graduation so that he can provide for himself and his family—a goal that drives him strongly.
Joel's role models are his father and his older brother. He proudly watched his father, who came to Germany from Romania, advance his career with hard work and determination. His brother is also a great inspiration to him: after completing his training, he decided to catch up on his high school diploma. He is currently completing a distance learning course in business informatics.
Joel is a fighter – he never gives up. In 9th grade, he had some difficulties and was unsure whether he should leave high school and start an apprenticeship instead. But he decided to persevere. With the support of a teacher and the backing of his family, he passed his high school diploma. He then decided to study Business Administration at the KU in Ingolstadt.
Joel particularly appreciates the small groups at the KU. The lecturers take a lot of time to impart specialist knowledge and discuss it with the students. Joel is already looking forward to his semester abroad in Poland in the winter semester. There he will be able to gain valuable experience that will bring him a step closer to his dream: a career that offers stability for him and his family.
