Pavitra Chandarana studies in the Bachelor's program in Data Science in the 3rd semester

Pavitra wants to start his own company. His idea is to develop an AI-based system that manages homes. It would decide, on behalf of the residents, what the ideal heating temperature is at any given moment or which blinds need to be closed. To achieve his goal, Pavitra is in his third semester of the Bachelor’s program in Data Science at the Mathematical Institute for Machine Learning and Data Science (MIDS) at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU).

Pavitra moved from India to Ingolstadt specifically for his studies. The curriculum at the KU convinced him: “All students learn everything from scratch. Data Science is a broad field — the KU helps me identify which areas suit me best. “

Pavitra has been passionate about technology since his childhood: “Even back then, I watched movies and TV shows that highlighted its potential.” That’s why it was clear to him, as a “tech enthusiast”—as he describes himself—that he wanted to build a career in IT.

For Pavitra, the Bachelor’s degree program in Data Science at the KU is the ideal starting point to launch his career as a technology expert and one day make his big dream a reality: founding his own company that works with AI.
