KU Open Day, May 2026

TdoT 2024

Visit us on campus and get information on our wide range of degree programs or talk to KU students and employees and check out our facilities. All this is possible on our KU Open Day! We would like to invite you to get an impression of our Eichstätt or Ingolstadt campuses and their programs. If you are looking for more than just a degree, the KU is the excellent place for you!

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you have the opportunity to talk to lecturers and students and have them answer your questions at the info booths of our degree programs and departments. During the day, there will also be presentations on the individual degree programs. To get a feel for what a normal day in the lives of our students looks like, you can sit in on one of our lectures. The Student Representatives Council and various other student groups and committees will also provide information on their activities and student life in general. Feel free to take part in our guided tour around campus or in our University Library.

Our guided tours are not only interesting for prospective students, but also for their parents, and KU employees, alumni or currently enrolled students as well as the general public. You might want to get a glimpse of what goes on behind the walls of the Eichstätt seminary and the Collegium Orientale or have an art historian take you to the highlights of modern and historical architecture around the city.

The detailed program for KU Open Day 2026 will be published here in April 2026.

This was the KU Open Day 2025

[Translate to English:] Tag der offenen Tür 2025

On May 24, 2025, KU welcomed more than 2,000 visitors to its Open Campus Day. In beautiful sunny weather, many took the opportunity to explore the campuses in Eichstätt and Ingolstadt in person. From guided tours and info sessions to workshops and interactive stations – science came alive, and the unique KU atmosphere could be felt everywhere.

A special highlight: the new children’s program featuring the KU Discovery Pass, which invited young guests to explore the campus through hands-on activities, music, and exciting experiments. In Ingolstadt, KU professors gave short talks on current topics such as climate change and global economic trends.

A day full of insights, inspiration, and connection – and we’re already looking forward to the next Open Campus Day!
