We develop a new and efficient meta-heuristic to solve a new variant of the 2-Echelon VRP. Together with Ferdinand Mühlbauer (based on his master thesis), we model a logistics problem for suppling cargo bicycles in cities and routing them efficiently. We outperform state-of-the-art methods and improve best-known solutions for other variants of the 2-Echelon VRP.
