Prof. Dr. Victoria-Sophie Osburg has been professor of Business Administration and Psychology at WFI since April 1, 2025, focusing on research and teaching at the intersection of business and psychology. The chair offers Master’s courses such as The Psychology of Sustainable Luxury Consumption, Psychological Approaches to Behavior Change for Social Good, and Food Technology Acceptance: A Psychological Perspective. The aim of these courses is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the psychological aspects of consumer behavior and sustainable development.

The chair's research emphasizes the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and responsible consumption, particularly in the digital realm. A central area of research is investigating how companies can utilize technology to promote sustainable consumption and establish themselves as socially responsible actors in a competitive marketplace. Additional topics of study include sustainability in luxury consumption, the perception of ethical standards, and strategies for reducing irresponsible consumption, particularly within the healthcare sector.

Further information about current research projects and courses can be found on the following pages. The chair’s team is available to answer any questions you may have.

First Conference, First Talk: Farah Hentati in Montpellier

Farah Hentati presented her research to an international academic audience for the first time at the European Social Marketing Conference in Montpellier.

Your first academic conference is a moment many doctoral candidates remember for a long time. For Farah Hentati, that moment has now come: at MBS School of Business in Montpellier, she presented her first work-in-progress project at the European Social Marketing Conference.

Connecting with the international community

The conference brought together researchers from many countries and disciplines who share an interest in social marketing. Alongside inspiring presentations, Farah discovered new methodological approaches, attended plenary sessions and took part in interactive workshops. What she valued most, though, were the conversations with fellow doctoral candidates and experienced researchers, which gave her fresh perspectives on her own project.

Getting published

One highlight was the Getting Published workshop led by Sharyn Rundle-Thiele and Cristel Antonia Russell. It offered practical advice on how to develop a research project further and navigate the road to publication in an academic journal.

Back in Ingolstadt with new ideas

Farah has returned to Ingolstadt with plenty of new ideas and even more motivation. What she learned in Montpellier will now feed directly into her doctoral research. We are delighted about this successful start and look forward to seeing how her project develops.
