Prof. Dr. Victoria-Sophie Osburg has been professor of Business Administration and Psychology at WFI since April 1, 2025, focusing on research and teaching at the intersection of business and psychology. The chair offers Master’s courses such as The Psychology of Sustainable Luxury Consumption, Psychological Approaches to Behavior Change for Social Good, and Food Technology Acceptance: A Psychological Perspective. The aim of these courses is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the psychological aspects of consumer behavior and sustainable development.

The chair's research emphasizes the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and responsible consumption, particularly in the digital realm. A central area of research is investigating how companies can utilize technology to promote sustainable consumption and establish themselves as socially responsible actors in a competitive marketplace. Additional topics of study include sustainability in luxury consumption, the perception of ethical standards, and strategies for reducing irresponsible consumption, particularly within the healthcare sector.

Further information about current research projects and courses can be found on the following pages. The chair’s team is available to answer any questions you may have.

Welcome to the Team: Farah Hentati

Farah Hentati has joined the Chair of Business Administration and Psychology as a Research Associate and Doctoral Candidate. For her, it is a return to familiar ground, as she completed her own Master’s degree at WFI.

From student to tutor

Not long ago, Farah was sitting on the other side of the lecture hall. She graduated from the Business & Psychology Master’s program at WFI, so she knows the program from the inside. She now brings that perspective into the classroom, running the tutorial for Market Psychology and Strategic Marketing Communication this winter semester. Alongside her PhD, she also supports several of the chair’s research projects.

From Sfax to Ingolstadt

Her journey started in her hometown of Sfax, Tunisia. At IHEC Sfax, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management. Along the way, she explored many areas of management, from marketing and HR to finance. What fascinated her most, though, was the psychology behind it all. That curiosity led her to business psychology and, in the end, to our chair.

Beyond academia

Outside of work, you will most likely find Farah at the gym. Training has taught her the value of simply showing up, even on low-energy days. Otherwise, she loves to travel and discover new cities, cultures and, above all, new food.

We are delighted to have Farah on board, and we are looking forward to a little Mediterranean sunshine during the German winter.
