Strategic expertise put to the test: 2025 Consulting Cup

The 2025 Consulting Cup at the Ingolstadt School of Management of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt once again offered participating students an extraordinary mix of practical relevance, teamwork, and competitive atmosphere. The 24-hour case study competition, organized by students, attracted numerous highly motivated applicants again this year.

Twelve teams, each with four members, took part in the challenge. After comprehensive preparation through workshops and input from partner companies, the participants embarked on a 24-hour working phase involving a real-life case study provided by a corporate partner. The teams developed creative, analytically sound solutions and presented them to a jury in several rounds of evaluation. The strongest teams prevailed in exciting preliminary rounds and ultimately competed in the grand finale.

In addition to the competition, personal exchange also played a central role. Partner speed dating, discussions during the workshops, and the joint dinner at the start of the event offered a variety of opportunities for networking. Comprehensive support for participants—including catering and an exclusive shuttle service—ensured that students could concentrate fully on their tasks.

The highlight of the weekend was the final round, followed by an awards ceremony during a festive gala dinner. Here, not only were the most convincing solutions honored, but the commitment and team spirit of all participants were also recognized.

The 2025 Consulting Cup once again demonstrated how valuable practice-oriented learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and direct contact with companies are for academic education. The event left a lasting impression on both the participants and the companies involved and underscored the importance of innovative formats for promoting talent.
