Professional focus and research interests:
Reading research, creative writing processes, international teacher education (in particular in Uganda), social engagement in studies, teaching and research

• Ultimate responsibility for University management
• Chairwoman of the University Management and the Extended University Management
• Initiatives for the University's development and drafting of the KU higher education policy
• Determination of the guidelines for the completion of the University Management tasks
• Implementation of the decisions taken by the University Management, the Extended University Management and all other central University committees and bodies
• Internal and external representation of the University, amongst others in the Universität Bayern e.V. Association and the German Rectors’ Conference
• Maintaining contacts with the Foundation, ministries and representatives of the church, society and industry
• Accountability and reporting obligation towards the Foundation and University committees
• Superior for the chancellor and academic staff employed at the University; with the exception of professors
