Eichstätt offers many advantages for an intensive study. The Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) in the Altmühltal is characterized by a personal atmosphere as well as an optimal support and excellent conditions for students. The KU has already been awarded for its special family-orientation and sustainability. The KU has an international network and maintains contacts with more than 200 partner universities worldwide. It promotes the mobility of its students, for example for a semester abroad. Students of the KU are involved in numerous groupings and initiatives beyond their studies. This testifies to an active university community.

More than a dozen chairs and professorships serve at the Faculty of Theology in teaching and research. The Faculty and the individual subjects attach great importance to interdisciplinary exchange. Depending on the degree program, the individual groups of subjects Philosophy, Biblical Theology, Historical Theology, Systematic Theology and Practical Theology - each of them with other sub-disciplines - are represented to varying extents and with coordinated contents. Apart from Theology, the KU offers a wide range of different subjects that can complement personal studies.
