The volume Konfessionslosigkeit als Normalfall: Religions- und Ethikunterricht in säkularen Kontexten (Denominationalism as the Normal Case: Religious and Ethical Education in Secular Contexts), edited by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kropač and Prof. Dr. Mirjam Schambeck, offers relevant and multi-perspective impulses for the conceptual development of religious and ethical education.

Blurb:

Non-denominationalism is no longer just an issue in the new German states, but is increasingly shaping everyday school life throughout the German-speaking world. Since many baptised pupils have no real religious understanding, the phenomenon of non-denominationalism is even more widespread than religious demographic data would suggest. These fundamental shifts towards a widespread non-denominationalism in society are changing religious education in schools in many ways: in terms of the content and organisation of religious education, the status of ethics education, the interplay between the two, and the training of teachers.
