On the 11th and 12th of January, the seminars on religious education of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg met for their annual conference. It was organised by the Bamberg chair team in the large lecture hall of the Institute of Catholic Theology. This forum, which has been running for a number of years, gives young academics the opportunity to present their theses to a wider academic community and, through critical and discursive dialogue, to gain useful impulses for their own research.

The following papers were presented:

  • Daniela Fella (LMU Munich; dissertation project): Marked by Life: When Female Bodies Break the Silence. An Analysis of the Representation of Body, Gender and Religion in Film
  • Lukas Jung (University of Bamberg; dissertation project): Interdenominational Cooperation at Vocational Schools. Accompanying research on the extended school project StReBe
  • Michael Wohner (KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt; dissertation project): Theology of adolescence - a stepchild of religious education between theoretically postulated necessity and pragmatic insignificance. Anthropological, Biblical, Systematic and Practical Theological Impulses on a Desideratum in Religious Education
  • Martina Reiner (LMU Munich; dissertation project): Factors of religious appropriation. An empirical study on orientation patterns of religious development
