Interuniversity Advanced Seminar 2025

On July 3 and 4, 2025, the advanced seminars of the Chairs of Religious Education at the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg, the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich came together for a joint conference. The event was hosted by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kropač and his team at the Collegium Willibaldinum in Eichstätt.

As part of the long-established interuniversity research forum, Maximilian Scherer (Bamberg) presented his doctoral project entitled “Digital Exhibitions as Starting Points for Religious Learning and Educational Processes.” The seminar also gained an international dimension through contributions by Prof. Dr. Dr. Athanasios Stogiannidis and Prof. Dr. Evangelos Pepes from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The program was rounded out by two cultural offerings: a guided tour of the Collegium Willibaldinum and the baroque Church of the Guardian Angels with Regens Michael Wohner, as well as a visit to the Collegium Orientale led by Vice Rector Dr. Mykola Dobra.

A particularly special moment was the farewell to Dr. Andrea Kabus (Bamberg) and Klaus König (Eichstätt), who participated in the seminar for the last time due to their retirement – accompanied by heartfelt thanks for their long-standing commitment and best wishes for the next chapter of their lives.
