“AI-supported literature and information research”

Information event on November 24

Artificial intelligence can play a supporting role in many areas of scientific work. New opportunities for the targeted use of AI-supported tools are also increasingly opening up in literature research.

The aim of the event is to convey the theoretical basics of AI-supported information retrieval and to illustrate the potential of such research tools in various application scenarios. The focus is on the basic functioning of different tool categories, from automated search phrase generation to vector-based indexing. Practical applications are presented using selected examples (e.g., Elicit or deep research systems).

The event is aimed in particular at researchers from all disciplines with a basic understanding of how language models (LLMs) work.
