Due to the current requirements and regulations of the Bavarian state government in connection with the corona pandemic, the University Library will be closed from December 16, 2020 until initially January 10, 2021.
Until December 22, we will send KU members urgently needed books within germany free of charge by mail:
- Orders must be received no later than 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
- Order the books via OPAC, then send us an email stating that you would like to have the books sent to you by mail to:

- Ingolstadt: ub-wfi(at)ku.de
- Important note: Please make sure to state your first and last name, your user number and your current delivery address.
- Please note:
- There is a limit of nine volumes per person. The library pays for shipping costs for sending the books to you; you will have to pay the costs for returning shipping.
- Shipping of interlibrary loans is not possible.
- Shipping of oversized or overly heavy books is not possible.
- For your planning: The book is on its way when it is booked in your OPAC account. Shipping is usually insured. If you do not receive your delivery, please contact us.
- Please take usual delivery times of parcel services and the size of your order into account (will the parcel fit in your mailbox?).
Digital offers
Please feel free to continue to make use of our comprehensive offer of e-books, e-journals and databases – available anytime, anywhere (you must enter your KU user ID for being able to use most of the services offered). The authentication options for accessing licensed electronic media of the University Library Eichstätt-Ingolstadt can be found under "Online access to e-media".
Returning books
No reminders will be send out before January 19, 2021, for media for which the loan period expires. These must only be returned after the Library reopens. In any case, please note the current loan periods or renewal options in your library account! Returning books via the book boxes or return machines will not be possible during library closures.
The University Library will be closed from December 24, 2020, through January 10, 2021, initially. No services can be provided during this time.
