Construction work in the Main Library

The Main Library will soon have a new collection and lending area with self-checkout terminals and a new information area. In the future, borrowing from the closed stacks and the open stacks the reading room as well as interlibrary loans will be possible throughout the entire opening time and independently of library staff. And since everything will be located outside of the reading room, you will have more silence inside to focus on studying and working.

During the renovation work, you can borrow your books at the self-checkout terminal in the reading room. You will find your ordered media in pick-up shelves in the reading room directly in front of the information desk. . Please collect your media here yourself and check them out at the self-checkout terminal directly behind the shelves.

You can also borrow the freely accessible media (reference collection) from our reading room yourself. Please take into account availability for loan in this context: Books with a red line or red dot on the shelf mark cannot be borrowed. Loans for use in the reading room are available at the information desk.
