Ordering books

In order to borrow books and media you need a valid library card. Our entire holdings are listed in OPAC. Books marked with "available for loan" are located in our reading rooms. You can take them out of the shelves yourself and have them booked to your account with your library card at the supervisory desk of the reading room.

Please note the respective loan periods.

Media marked with “available for order” are located in our closed stacks. They can be ordered via OPAC. For ordering a book, please click “order” under the “Holdings” tab and confirm your selection. After approx. 30 minutes, the ordered media will be ready for you to pick up. Books from the Rebdorf stacks are usually available after 24 hours. You can pick up your orders within 10 opening days at the lending desk of the Main Library with your library card.

Reserving books

If a title you are looking for has already been borrowed by another user, you can reserve the title for you. Reservations are only possible for books from the closed stacks and the textbook collection. Books from the reference collection in the reading room cannot be reserved.
