Together with Stefan Voigt, Markus Frank, and Heinrich Kuhn, we developed an efficient metaheuristics for a class of vehicle routing problems with location decisions. The numerical results have shown that we are on par with state-of-the-art solution methods in terms of solution quality. Additionally, our approach is much more robust, i.e., the variance of several runs is rather low.
