Danube River

The Floodplain Institute Neuburg, Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, and the International Association for Danube Research (IAD) are happy to invite you to the conference with the framework topic

Rivers and Floodplains in the Anthropocene - Upcoming Challenges

in the Danube River Basin

Dear participants of the 43rd IAD Conference,
Dear colleagues,

After two postponements of the 43rd IAD Conference due to the corona crisis, we are very pleased to inform you that we have set the new and final date on

9-11 June 2021

when the event will now definitely take place, as a virtual conference. Even though this means that we will unfortunately not have the opportunity to meet in person for an exchange of ideas, this method of holding the conference has the great advantage that we will not have to travel and use public transport in these difficult times of the pandemic.

More information will follow at the end of January 2021. The registration process for the conference will start again in a couple of weeks, and we will inform you here about all news, also about the admission details for the conference itself. All registrations received so far as well as acceptance of presentations will remain valid. Deadlines/important dates (see below) are being re-scheduled.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Please check our conference homepage iad2020.ku.de from the end of January 2021 for the latest planning status.

We thank you for your patience and understanding in these troubling times. Take care and stay healthy!
