The lecturer will focus on water conflicts and debates on socioecological transitions that have emerged from grassroots movements in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. We will examine the experiences of indigenous communities, ecofeminist movements and environmental movements to gain unique insights into socioecological transformations. The presentation will analyse the construction and dissemination of narratives, using environmental sociology to examine the productivity of environmental conflicts. Our research, grounded in Latin American Political Ecology, brings together academic and non-academic researchers to develop collaborative research, training activities, and accessible audiovisual outputs.
