Contact trip to Beirut

In oder to expand the international network between academic partners and businessmen and in order to win over new participants in and supporters of our project a contact trip to Beirut was undertaken in March 25 to 28, 2013. We were given the chance to join the Beirut Conference, titled “Towards an Economy Serving Mankind” (www.beirutconference.org). Organized by UNIAPAC, a federation of more than 15,000 Christian business leaders from 30 countries all over the world, and the MA’am, the Islamic-Christian Forum for Businessmen, and in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, more than 500 Muslim and Christian business leaders shared their best CSR practices and discussed traditional values underlying and guiding their business decisions. In this setting, we were offered the opportunity of presenting and making public our project.

Furthermore, we had a first encouraging meeting with both the Dean and the Vice-President for International Relations of the Université Saint-Joseph and the Dean of the Université Saint-Esprit De Kaslik in Beirut. Now we are in close contact with them and are looking forward to a promising cooperation with these universities in the future.
