Students participating in an FGU study program receive a bi-national professional training and will strengthen their intercultural competences. Developing transferable skills such as students’ communication skills and the ability to work in a team as well as their flexibility and mobility, is an integral part of the master’s course. Participants in this excellence program will study in English in a German-French group and will earn the nationally-recognized academic degrees “Master of Science” at WFI as well as the “Diplôme de Master” of Toulouse School of Management after four semesters. Furthermore, the FGU grants 300 € per month to every student of the major during their stay abroad.
“We are very pleased about this success as it was a very competitive procedure”, says Prof. Jens Hogreve, head of the department of Service Management at WFI. He is responsible for the bi-national study program. “At the moment we are aiming to extend the good cooperation with our colleagues in Toulouse. We are also thinking about expanding the bi-national study program to a tri-national study program.”
FGU selects the bi-national degree programs it is willing to support according to strict criteria. In their approval the FGU praises the high standard of the German-French education and the professional focus on current problems of economics like digitalization, ethics and innovation. All courses sponsored by the FGU are subject to a strict quality control which is assured by regular evaluations carried out by independent German and French university professors.
