Presentation at the 21st IZA Summer School in Labor Economics

The research associate Carsten Feuerbaum (Chair of Microeconomics, Prof. Alexander Danzer) successfully participated in the renowned "21st IZA Summer School in Labor Economics" in May 2018. Only 30 out of more than 160 applicants received a confirmation for the 7-day workshop at the Deutsche Post Management Center Buch am Ammersee.

Carsten Feuerbaum presented the research paper "Growing up in Ethnic Enclaves: Language Proficiency and Education of Immigrant Children" (joint with Prof. Alexander Danzer, Prof. Ludger Woessmann and Dr. Marc Piopiunik) to an expert audience.

During the Summer School, Prof. Peter J. Kuhn (University of California, Santa Barbara) and Prof. Marianne P. Bitler (University of California, Davis) spoke on new developments in labour economics. In addition, all participants received a communication training. The organizers were Prof. Dan A. Black (University of Chicago and IZA) and Dr. Andreas Lichter (IZA).
