VivaTech 2025: DICE Student Annemarie Explores the Future of Technology in Paris

From June 11 to 14, 2025, VivaTech took place in Paris and brought together the world of innovation and technology. Our DICE double degree student Annemarie had the opportunity to attend the event upon invitation by the Franco-German University (DFH).

Every year, VivaTech gathers start-ups, global tech companies, investors, and visionary thinkers from around the globe. This year, the event welcomed more than 180,000 visitors and over 14,000 exhibiting companies and start-ups, including well-known names such as Google, Meta, LVMH, and many others.

Annemarie found the visit incredibly rewarding. She attended inspiring talks and panel discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainable technologies, and the future of work. One of the most notable guests was the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

A personal highlight for Annemarie was the robotics exhibition. She was particularly impressed by the fine motor skills of the robots. One robot was even able to serve baguettes and coffee, demonstrating how closely technology is becoming integrated into daily life.

Germany also had a strong presence. As part of the French German Tech Lab, many joint projects and start-ups from both countries showcased their ideas and innovations, highlighting the strength of international collaboration.

Annemaries Conclusion: VivaTech 2025 offered valuable insights and lasting inspiration. Viva la technologie
