The chair for American studies is proud to announce that Prof. Dr. René Dietrich has accepted the professorship in American studies at Universität Rostock, and will be leaving KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt starting with the summer term 2026.
Since joining KU in 2021, Prof. Dr. Dietrich has been an integral part of the chair of American Studies. His scholarly work, particularly in Indigenous literatures and cultures, has contributed significantly to the visibility of the American studies program at KU, while his commitment to teaching and support of student activities outside the classroom is widely lauded.
