The program serves to promote English-language teaching at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) and is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts (StMWK).
To this end, travel and accommodation costs for visiting academics, usually professors from abroad, can be funded at the KU for a limited period of time. For reasons of sustainability, the duration of the stay should not be less than five working days, during which at least four teaching units are taught. Due to the limited budget, the funding is currently restricted to a three-week stay. Taking into account the selection criteria (see below), people from professional practice from abroad can also be invited.
The digital integration of visiting professors from abroad into the teaching process can also be funded.
For the funding of longer stays by foreign academics, please refer to the relevant programs of other funding institutions such as the DAAD, the Fulbright Commission, etc.. The International Office will be happy to provide advice. Relevant research funding formats are available for research stays at the KU.
The current call for applications refers to guest residencies or digital courses at the KU up to and including July 24, 2025 and will be sent to all KU professors, who are the only ones eligible to apply. We kindly ask you to forward it to interested employees.
You can find information on the application process as well as the current call for proposals in the intranet.
