Teaching

Our teaching focuses on theories and methods concerned with location research, regional development and the international economy, while particular attention is paid to its field of application. Our overall objective is to enable students to use scientific methods independently and creatively in order to deal with current economically and socially relevant topics.

We integrate courses into our research projects where possible and also offer courses in collaboration with companies and other organisations from practical fields. Our students get opportunities to apply both quantitative (e.g. company surveys, network analysis) and qualitative (interviews with experts, group interviews, etc.) methods.
