Prof. Dr. Jan Hiller is the new holder of the Professorship of Geography Didactics and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) at the KU. The 39-year-old previously worked as a secondary school teacher and then as a research assistant and project coordinator at the Ludwigsburg University of Education.

Once again, the KU's degree programs have been rated above average in the current ranking published by the Center for Higher Education. This year, the CHE asked students about how satisfied they were with the subjects of Journalism, Psychology and Romance studies, among others. The results are published in the new edition of the ZEIT study guide.
