Theses at the Chair of General Psychology are generally empirical work. EEG or behavioral studies are offered from subject areas on which research is conducted at the chair.

Bachelor´s thesis

4ht Semester: ​Selection of topics as part of the seminar “Current research topics”

5th Semester: Data collection

6th Semester: Writing the bachelor's thesis

Admission work in school psychology

• Process is the same as for bachelor's theses, but adapted to the duration of the degree program in school psychology.
• Participation in the seminar “Current research topics” is also possible in the winter semester.

Master´s thesis

• 3th Semester: Topic selection as part of the seminar project work & data collection
• 4th Semester: Writing the master's thesis

Students are selected for theses as part of the central selection process. If there are more applicants than places available, selection will be made based on the following criteria:

• Participation in relevant courses (Master)
• Experience with the research methods of the chair (for example through work as a student assistant, previous thesis)
• if necessary, interview
