Objectives

KU-Fahne

The research center aims to improve the conditions for good research performance, especially in the field of fundamental research. It is intended to promote the development of interdisciplinary third-party funding proposals by its members and, in particular, to strive for acquisition of DFG Research Units and DFG Research Training Groups or other coordinated proposals from other funding institutions.

The research center wants to strengthen the KU’s attractiveness for research in the natural sciences and offers researchers and scientists excellent development prospects.

In the area of the promotion of early-career researchers, it plans to develop offers for doctoral candidates primarily in the methodological field. A joint science-oriented graduate training program will be established, which will take into account the special requirements with regard to methodological approaches.

Membership in the research group

In order to become a member of the research center of advanced studies Natural Sciences - Human and Nature, KU researchers must be distinguished by outstanding fundamental research (successful third-party funded projects, peer-reviewed publications) with a scientific-experimental orientation.
