The ZFG conducted a study to evaluate family education services for the district of Eichstätt in 2022. On 2 May, the central results of the study were now presented to the interested professional public in the Old Municipal Theatre in Eichstätt. Prof. Dr. Klaus Stüwe, Director of the ZFG, and Dr. Veronika Hecht, who was responsible for conducting the study as a research assistant at the ZFG, presented the central results.

The focus of the presentation was on the current range of family education services in the district of Eichstätt and the usage behaviour as well as the wishes and needs of families in the district. To this end, both institutions offering family education and parents with underage children were surveyed in the summer of 2022. With these two surveys, a comprehensive data basis was created, on the basis of which the ZFG identified five central fields of action for the further development of family education services in the district of Eichstätt. These include an adaptation of the topics, types and locations of the services, the inclusion of further family groups and a localisation of family education, which could be supported by the creation of family support points as central contact points for families.

The results of the report form the basis for the further development of the family education concept of the district of Eichstätt. The district has been participating in the funding programme "Municipal Family Education and Family Support Points" of the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs since June 2021.
