Short distances and lavish green spaces – welcome to the KU

The fact that the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt is one of the most popular universities in Germany is also due to its two campuses in Eichstätt and Ingolstadt: an idyllic small town and a modern metropolis – the KU offers both. The special appeal also lies in the contrasts between these locations. Short distances and diverse offerings — a quick overview and a wide range of possibilities: Students don’t have to choose either or. Eichstätt and Ingolstadt each embody the best of both worlds.

The Eichstätt district and the city of Ingolstadt form the heart of Bavaria — geographically speaking, too, since the geographical center of Bavaria lies near Kipfenberg in the Eichstätt district. This central location also ensures good access to the KU.

Studying isn’t just about sitting over books and learning. Your time as a student also offers the opportunity to try many other activities. Here, too, Eichstätt and Ingolstadt, as well as the Altmühltal Nature Park, offer plenty of options: cycling, climbing, boat tours, hiking, or even searching for fossils yourself. There’s no risk of getting bored.
