In line with the design of a campus university, the KU’s modern buildings in Eichstätt are located right next to the old town. Although the University has grown and expanded in recent years, distances remain short: “Eichstätt distances” can easily be covered on foot in ten minutes or less. The campus features lavish green spaces such as the Hofgarten. These are perfect for casual get-togethers, relaxation, or a quick break. The garden of the Kapuzinerkloster is even tended to by student initiatives. The campus canteen, which also features a sun terrace and a cafeteria, leaves little to be desired when it comes to lunch options.
Despite its central location in the city of Ingolstadt, the WFI campus is characterized by short distances. This saves students a lot of time and stress. The WFI campus is divided into the Main Building and the New Building, which are separated by an idyllic courtyard. The expansive green spaces of the Ingolstadt campus invite students to take in the faculty’s surroundings even outside of lectures and to engage in exchange with others. Those who prefer to use their breaks to run errands can reach Ingolstadt’s pedestrian zone within minutes on foot. Other faculty buildings include the Student Union and the Hohe Schule, the site of Bavaria’s first state university in the 15th century.
