Teaching Italian

In the teaching degree program for Italian, students engage intensively with the Italian language, literature, and culture. In the process, they develop a thorough understanding of historical, political, and social contexts and acquire the subject-specific and pedagogical skills needed to successfully teach Italian in the future.

Admission & application

This degree program has no admission restrictions—you do not need to submit an application. Simply enroll directly through the KU university portal in August or September. If you earned your university entrance qualification abroad, please also submit your preliminary examination documentation by July 15—also through the same portal.

Campus Eichstätt

Eichstätt combines a Baroque old town with canoe trips on the Altmühl River, open-air movies in the summer, and festivals such as the Altstadtfest and the Lichternacht—here, everyday student life meets a genuine zest for life.

Accommodation and living

Finding a place to live is part of planning for uni – whether it’s a dorm, a shared apartment, or your own apartment. Anyone coming to Eichstätt or Ingolstadt to attend uni should start looking for housing early.

Financing your studies

Students at the KU finance their studies in various ways – from BAföG to scholarships to part-time jobs. You can find an overview of all the options on the page about financing your studies.

Uni life

Whether it's culture or sports, the academic year is filled with a wide variety of festivals and events. Unifest, Dies Academicus, the Wiesncup, and many more: at the KU, celebrating and community are an integral part of student life.
