As part of her dual studies in Tourism Management (B.A.) at the State Academy of Breitenbrunn, Kerstin Haag gained comprehensive insights into tourism. She then pursued her Master's degree in "Tourism and Destination Development" (M.A.) at Harz University in Wernigerode, focusing on tourism concept development. Her Master's thesis on "Storytelling as a Product Policy Measure in the Hospitality Industry" explored, based on expert interviews, the extent to which storytelling can be applied not only as a communication strategy but also in the product policy of a hotel. After successfully completing her Master's degree, Kerstin Haag worked for two years in Customer Relationship Management for a hotel group on Usedom, where she was involved in a project to introduce a new CRM system.
Since April 2024, Kerstin Haag has been a research associate at the Chair of Tourism / Center for Entrepreneurship.
