Mobile GIS lab
An outstanding feature of the department, especially in the field of physical geography, the mobile GIS lab is equipped with a series of state-of-the-art terrain devices for recording digital terrain and remote sensing data. In addition to mobile computers with GPS, the geography has a tachymeter, dGPS, two terrestrial and one mobile (!) Laser scanner and several flight drones.

The KU weather station at the cafeteria car park is recording measurement data at one-minute intervals. These data are among others provided to the AK Wetterschau and can be used for student work.
