Corporate Governance

In the Corporate Governance course, students gain an insight into the field of corporate governance and learn about the importance of the different perspectives of the stakeholder and shareholder approach in corporate management. An overview of standards and rules of corporate governance is an essential part of the course. In addition, students will be enabled to establish links to the related areas of corporate management and business ethics.

Introductory seminar in Business Ethics and Corporate Governance

The course introduces students to academic work by independently working on given topics from the fields of business ethics, corporate governance and controlling. In addition to the preparation of a written introductory seminar paper, the preparation of presentation documents and a short presentation are part of the course.

Private Law II (Lecture Part II: Company Law and Corporate Governance)

Students learn the legal principles and distinguishing features of selected German company forms. Students will be able to make well-founded recommendations as to which company form offers which business advantages and disadvantages for which type of company, particularly with regard to corporate governance.
