The Ingolstadt School of Management can rely on a broad network of partners in Germany and abroad: It is in close contact with other universities and companies. Through the alumni association IN Kontakt e.V. as well as the Friends‘ Association of WFI (Förderkreis), it stays in contact with graduates and friends of the faculty get the chance to support it.
Research and teaching benefit equally from this comprehensive partner network: Students can spend a semester abroad at numerous partner universities, get to know potential employers during their courses of study and learn from the experiences of graduates. For WFI employees, the wide range of connections make it easy to carry out research abroad or enter into research collaborations outside of Germany.

Cooperation with leading organizations and companies in various fields opens up the best opportunities for internships and entry-level positions at home and abroad. Our courses provide good networking opportunities as well: Guest lectures by respected speakers from the industry are an integral part of the programs. In addition, students get the chance to take part in projects and workshops offered jointly with companies regularly and thus get to know potential future employers.
Further online and offline offerings are designed to make the transition between academic and professional life as smooth as possible: At career events such as Company Day and the WFI Talent Fair, students can meet companies on campus and even attend job interviews. The Consulting Cup, a case study competition, or the WFI Summer Challenge, a sporting recruiting event, offer further points of contact. All year round, interested students can also browse the career portal WFI-Talente to find their perfect job match.
Students need to develop skills to think and act globally. For this reason, the Ingolstadt School of Management maintains close contacts with over 100 renowned partner universities on five continents. This global network gives students the opportunity to spend a semester in another country or to write their thesis abroad. This network also allows us to implement short programs such as the Summer School or the Winter School and to offer transnational study programs or fields of specialization. In addition, lecturers and staff can spend time abroad for teaching and further education purposes or enter into research collaborations across national borders. Of course, the Ingolstadt School of Management does not only want to cultivate its international focus abroad, but also at home on campus. Therefore, it invites guest lecturers on a regular basis and integrates guest students into regular courses.

The non-profit alumni association IN Kontakt e.V. was founded in 1996 and currently has more than 1200 members closely associated with the faculty. The aim of the association is to also integrate students into the WFI family even after successful graduation. IN Kontakt arranges a direct exchange between students and graduates - for example at the event "The first 100 days". At this event, alumni report once a year on their career start and give students tips on their career path. Through the Student-Alumni-Mentorship-Program SAMP, students are assigned a graduate as a mentor who supports them in questions of an academic or private nature.
In addition, IN Kontakt organizes seminars and events, supports teaching at the faculty through donations in kind, and finances the Teaching Award, with which the WFI student council honors one professor and one research assistant each year who have distinguished themselves through very good teaching and correspondingly high scores in the teaching evaluation.
