Academic short stay of Mr. Julien Rugaba in Eichstätt

From November 23 to 29, 2022, Mr. Julien Rugaba was a guest at the Chair for Didactics of Religious Education, for Catechetics and Religious Education. Mr. Rugaba studied philosophy and theology. He is currently a program associate at the Jesuit Urumuri Centre and for the Episcopal Commission "Justice et Paix" in Rwanda. He is also a lecturer at the Catholic University in Butare.

The aim of his visit was a research stay at the Faculty of Theology, during which not only an intensive scientific exchange with Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kropač and his research assistants took place, but also various cultural events were on the agenda. Mr. Rugaba's reports about his African homeland, i.e. about the living conditions of the people, their religion, the school and study system as well as the culture in Rwanda met with great interest.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who made Mr. J. Rugaba's stay in Eichstätt possible: Prof. Dr. U. Kropač, Dr. M. Winklmann, Msgr. Dr. S. Killermann, D. Romić, H. Klehr, D. Bongartz, Akad. Dir. K. König and Dr. M. Chrostowski. Thank you very much for your help and commitment!

We wish Mr. Julien Rugaba all the best on his further way and hope that we can soon welcome him back here in Eichstätt.
