Future-proof religious education in Bavaria controversial

From 15 to 16.03.2022 the spring conference of the KRBU (= Religious Education Teachers at Bavarian Universities) took place in Stadtbergen near Augsburg on the topic "future-proof religious education in Bavaria controversial".

The conference unfolded different perspectives on present and future religious education in Bavaria (see program): from the side of scientific religious education, the state, the church and the practice. The perspectives presented enabled a controversial discussion about the shape of a future religious education in Bavaria against the background of growing ecumenical relations on the one hand and a continuous decline of denominationally bound religiosity on the other hand.

The conference was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kropač, the speaker of the KRBU, in conjunction with an organizational team that included Prof. Dr. Konstantin Lindner, Prof. Dr. Georg Langenhorst, PD Dr. habil. Boris Kalbheim and Dr. Rebecca Deurer.
