In the international Service Learning project Uniservitate, KU has been one of seven worldwide hubs since 2020 for the dissemination and promotion of Service Learning at Catholic universities. Uniservitate aims to systematically and extensively establish Service Learning programs at universities.
The project is led by the Latin American Center for Solidary Service Learning (CLAYSS) in Argentina and is funded by the Porticus Foundation. Further information about the project can be found on the project website "Uniservitate".
At KU, Uniservitate is located under the Vice President for International Affairs and Profile Development, Prof. Dr. Klaus Stüwe. The Service Learning working group is being successively expanded and is currently made up of the following KU members:
Along with six other Catholic universities worldwide, KU has been selected to establish a regional Service Learning center and expand collaboration with other Catholic universities. The establishment of a network as well as the exchange of ideas and knowledge among the participating universities directly contributes to the systematic integration of Service Learning offerings into academic teaching.
Within the framework of Uniservitate, the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) serves as a regional hub for partner organizations in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East, in collaboration with the following universities:
