Long opening hours during the summer semester

Starting April 13, 2026, extended opening hours will once again be in effect at all University Libraries:

Construction work in front of the Main Library: Footpath closed starting March 23

Over the coming weeks, the direct footpath between the interim building and the Main Library will be temporarily closed due to construction work. Access to the Main Library via the main entrance will remain available, a detour footpath will lead around the construction site.

Construction work in the office of the Ingolstadt branch library

Due to construction work in the open-plan office of the Ingolstadt branch library, the lounge and group study room are unavailable for use. In addition, there may be occasional construction noise.

Construction noise in the Main Library

There is currently construction noise in the Main Library due to renovation work in the basement. If the noise is disruptive, please use one of the branch libraries or visit during the quieter evening hours.

 

Access to e-media: VPN certificate renewal required

To access licensed electronic media from the University Library via a VPN connection, KU members will need a new VPN certificate from February 1, which will be provided by the University Computer Center.

Construction noise in the Main Library

Due to demolition work in the basement, there will be increased construction noise over the next few days.

If necessary, please use our departmental libraries or visit us during the quieter evening hours.
